Who We Are

Medowie Community Preschool. Where all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life.

At Medowie Community Preschool we provide a warm, caring and safe environment, which promotes childrens wellbeing, development and learning. We believe the family is the childs first and most significant educator and we endeavor to establish reciprocal relationships with our families built on mutual respect, trust and open communication.

We will accept each child as an individual and work collaboratively with families to further educate children through play based learning as they engage in active, meaningful experiences. We strive to encourage each child to be an independent thinker, a problem solver, a creator, a valuable member of the community, a resourceful learner who is curious about the world

We strive to encourage each child to be an independent thinker, a problem solver, a creator, a valuable member of the community, a resourceful learner who is curious about the world around them. Educators have adopted a holistic approach to early education, and this is achieved by incorporating the principles, practices and   learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework into our daily program. Educators pride themselves on being Early Childhood Professionals as they value the importance of   reflecting on their practices and the need to participate in professional development to provide a high-quality service to our families.

Educators will maintain positive attitudes towards diversity and difference.  The children’s rights, culture, abilities, interests, and needs will be incorporated into our daily program.  Each child will be supported to feel secure, confident, and included as their voices are heard and recognized. We value and welcome the contribution of the local community including schools, mobile library.  Early Childhood organisations, family support agencies, and elders from the Worimi Aboriginal Community.

Our service aims to ensure that positive working relationships are formed between all staff, families, and management.  Staff and management will always conduct themselves in an ethical manner and strive to make all interactions positive and compliant. Medowie Community preschool management encourage and welcome family input into all areas of our centre.

We believe that our philosophy guides our program, educators, staff, management committee, our policies and procedures which is always reflected in our centre, and we are committed to providing a welcoming, supportive, and home-like environment for all our children and families.
